Om had a great follow up post to my weekly update where he asked some of GigaOM’s readers what they would want in a revamped Apple TV. Many of the answers echoed what I think they should do, including app-store, increased gaming focus, and 1080p support. Other features readers want are Blu-ray, Netflix streaming and Cablecard support. Overall, my feeling is that Apple will release a revamped Apple TV that supports much of these features, but I am pretty firm in my belief they won’t touch Cablecard, as that would put them in the position of having to deal with cable MSOs, which I imagine aren’t too thrilled about a new Apple TV.
