Yesterday half my Facebook page appeared in Arabic. When I returned to it later, there was a notice that Facebook is available in other languages, inviting me to try it. So I had to wonder if the Arabic glitch was actually a marketing promotion. Given the news coverage that outages get, I won’t be surprised when in-house ads are disguised as denial-of-service attacks.
