Research In Motion often goes unmentioned amid all the iPhone/Android hubbub, but the guys from Canada continue to churn out handsets at an impressive rate. RIM today unveiled a new version the BlackBerry Bold that will be available on AT&T and T-Mobile USA in time for the holidays, and Verizon stores and Best Buy are already receiving Storm 2 dummy units. Yes, developers have issues with the BlackBerry OS, and yes, BlackBerry’s mobile-browser technology is still significantly inferior to some other platforms. But I still believe RIM is well-positioned as we enter the all-important holiday season.
