"Freemium models more than ad supported seems more likely to scale; I look forward to seeing the value people are willing to pay for."

Very well said, Pavan. It will take a little while for mobile advertisers to figure out how to best leverage offer-based ads without infuriating consumers, but once they gain a little traction I think this will ramp up very quickly.

The AdMob purchase gives serious indication that the answer is yes. With the small space on the screen however, ads will have to be careful to be non intrusive, intuitively placed, relevant and contextual. Freemium models more than ad supported seems more likely to scale; I look forward to seeing the value people are willing to pay for.
