Spain suspends subsidies for new renewable energy power plants

While there has been a lot of subsidy rollbacks across Europe, Spain has taken it a step further by halting renewable energy subsidies. Wind turbine maker, Vestas, and Spanish renewable energy maker, Iberdrola will feel the immediate effects.

Solar CEOs see boom in China will ease glut in 2012

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Chinese solar panel makers have said they expect Chinese demand for solar to exceed predictions and absorb much of the cheap solar panels on the market.
