Days like today are the calm before the storm in IT. Aside from the ongoing Dell-HP-3PAR bidding war, there is precious little going because everybody is bracing for VMworld next week. There will be so much virtualization and cloud computing news that your head will spin, but look on the bright side: I’m the one who has to wade through it all and determine what’s what. In addition to vCloud Service Director, I’m anxious to see what else (that I haven’t already been told about) gets announced. I suspect the cloud discussion will take another step forward from here on out.
