Happy DTV Transition Day. After years in the making – and one significant delay – today analog spectrum in the U.S. is transitioned to digital. Those consumers who haven’t gotten their converter boxes will be shut off, while video service providers who saw an uptick in subscribers will continue to transition the remaining luddites to TV services. Meanwhile, those who put spectrum on layaway – such as Qualcomm for its MediaFLO business – get to take their new toy home.
