Location-based services such as Foursquare and Gowalla are proving to be popular, with Foursquare recently passing 1 million users and rumored to be the subject of a $100 million takeover offer from Yahoo. But are these businesses in and of themselves, or are they features of some other service or business such as Facebook or Google?
