Metaio launches augmented reality platform for mobile sharing, marketing

German firm Metaio is creating a mobile platform that lets users leave and view notes (photos, tweets or animations of 3-D characters) in augmented reality — graphical overlays of information over live camera views. The move puts Metaio in competition with other augmented reality players like SPRXMobile and Mobilizy.
