We’ve long heard rumblings that iPhone users were taxing O2′s network, but today the company officially admitted its network had at times been overwhelmed by the gadget. That’s not all that surprising, of course, given AT&T’s experience with the iPhone and O2′s former status as the gadget’s exclusive carrier in the U.K. As mobile data consumption ramps up among non-iPhone users, though, it will be very interesting to see whether other carriers experience the same problems.
