Today in Mobile

The Financial Times this morning reported that U.S. regulators are planning to investigate whether Apple is unfairly prohibiting some mobile advertisers from using analytics on its new iAd platform. Apple’s new developer terms are certainly curious, limiting the actions of ad companies that are owned by big mobile players (such as Google, Microsoft or Nokia) but seemingly giving “independent” guys (such as Millennial Media) freedom to access analytics. So it’s no surprise to see the feds sniffing around — and I wouldn’t be shocked if regulators decided to force Apple to rewrite the terms altogether.
