About David:

David Coleman, Founder and Managing Director of Collaborative Strategies (CS), has been involved with groupware, collaborative technologies, and knowledge management (KM) and social networks since 1989. He is a frequent public speaker, an industry analyst, and author of 4 books and magazine articles on electronic collaboration and knowledge management.

David has been the lead on a wide variety of engagements on enterprise collaborative strategies with British Telecom, General Dynamics, Logitech, Network Appliance and VMware. He has created a variety of tools and methodologies to assess collaboration in the enterprise, and also does collaborative coaching with project teams to make sure they are on track and successful.

He is the author of 4 books on Groupware and Collaboration, the latest two are: 42 Rules for Successful Collaboration and Collaboration 2.0 (copies of the e-books are attached to this proposal). For the last 5 years he has written the popular “Collaboration Blog” (www.collaborate.com), and is a columnist and regular contributor to Elearning! Magazine. He is a popular speaker and presents at a wide variety of industry conferences, webinars, podcasts and video casts.

He also works with many of the 2000+ collaboration vendors that CS tracks. CS also does custom research for vendors focusing on competitive analysis, technology partnership, and strategic or industry issues.
