About Derrick:
I have been covering the on-demand computing space since 2003, when I started with the seminal grid computing publication GRIDtoday. I led the publication through the evolution from grid to virtualization to cloud computing, ultimately spearheading the rebranding of GRIDtoday into On-Demand Enterprise. I have written countless features and commentaries on cloud computing and related technologies, spoken with just as many vendors, thought leaders and users, and even have been an interview subject myself. I have a degree in print journalism and currently moonlight as a law student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
