About Paul:
I’m a lifelong musician who’s been working as a journalist since Spin magazine gave me my first online byline in 1996. A move to San Francisco in 1999 yielded a job with the Industry Standard magazine, where I led a research team and began tracking venture capital investments. For seven years I covered venture capital at The Deal. Today I write for GigaOM about the massive changes in the music business wrought by innovative technologies, and continue to make music daily.
