Expertise: Digital Rights Management and content protection, internet regulatory policy, networked device interoperability and content services.
About Scott:
I recently left a 15 year stint at Sony where I last served as SVP of the Network and Systems Architecture division. During that time, I led the creation of such standards and technologies as the DTCP-IP link protection system, DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), the Marlin DRM Development Community and the Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem.
Prior to Sony, I worked at Apple in the area of multimedia applications and was the major proponent and innovator behind the popular Firewire interface.
My current venture is a consulting service in which I advise clients on business strategy and on how to create differentiated end-to-end content services efficiently by leveraging available technologies and industry best practices.
